Making a list, checking it twice *lala lala*
Well, I have gone ever so slightly insane and decided to sign up for Yuletide! *whistles cheerfully*
So, in the spirit of the exercise here's my 'Dear Santa' letter. Or in my case:

Dear non-denominational folklore entity,
I have been very good this year (for certain relative values of 'good') and what I'd really like to find in my stocking is one of the following -
The Mentalist, Jane/Cho
Slash is v nice but gen's fine as well - just some interaction between the boys please! On a case or just doing boring office work, team night out or on their own. Inclusion of the rest of the team's welcome - hey, even their perspectives on the guys - but the main thing is Jane being his brilliant, puckish, bright-veneer-over-darkness self and Cho being the deadpan, sarcastic hotty that he is!
Stargate Universe, Any
Any character, any situation - pretty much writer's choice with this one! I never say no to slash but gen or het are fine as well and what I'd really like to see a bit more of people's characters - how they're coping and reacting, what's their backstory. From their POV or an outsider’s, it's all good! I do admit to being particularly fascinating with the budding psycho that is Ronald Greer though, so if the tale could include him in some way that'd be nice! :)
Goonies, Any
Grown up (i.e. 18+) Goonies back together please! Just meeting up or hanging out is fine but some wacky high-jinks would be very cool! What are they doing now? Did they all stay close friends or have they drifted apart a bit? Did Chunk slim down? Is Data the multi millionaire inventor he planned? Do Mouth and Mikey end up together? (If they didn't, as this is the secret pairing of my heart if you fix it so they did I will love you forever!)
The Hurt Locker
Gen character study of either of the guys is fine but. well, I can't see how anyone can watch this movie and NOT see the slash, so some sex would be delightful! Angst it up if you like or make it matter of fact (hell, make it slapstick comedy if you think you can do it!) and for further prompt material the drunken fighting/wrestling/rodeo riding scene left a definite impression so anything inspired by that would be great. (May I also suggest the phrase 'ridden hard and put away wet' to spark thoughts off.?)
As for more detail on my tastes, well – they’re broad! As you may guess from the one or two hints I am a slash girl at heart but I enjoy other genres and can’t think of one that I really won’t read.
I don’t have many squicks either but dub-con can be borderline for me sometimes and I don’t really read non-con or parent/child incest at all (sibling incest is fine though – call me sick and strange if you like). Genderswap and heavy BDSM aren’t squicks but don’t tend to do an awful lot for me.
What do I like in fics? Well: silly crack, gritty drama, angst, sweet fluff, sex, UST, h/c, kink, vanilla, PWP or chock full of plot – anything goes!
Fic that reads like the author had fun writing it, fic that makes me laugh or makes my heart clench, fic that gives me a new view of a familiar character or shines a light on someone I’ve never thought of before. Fic, basically, that the author is pleased with I’m pretty sure I’ll love as well!
