Mill on the Floss was hopelessly tedious as I remember. I also hated doing Thomas Hardy for both O level and A level. Although if we'd been able to lust over James Murray in Under the Greenwood Tree (see munchkin's latest picspam), it might have been different.
However I am now in a rather pleasant mental place considering a combination of Don, Ryan and Capt Jack. YUMMY.
I also rather like the list of things to do in place of reading M on the F, They all sound kinda fun.
